Portfolio

This first section contains examples of the work that I've done while working for Wunderman. The code in most of the following e-mails uses a hybridized version of HTML 4.01 to allow for the inconsistent support of HTML 4.01 in many e-mail clients. Below the examples you'll also find a list of some of my previous projects, and text samples of HTML code that I have created.

Projects that I worked on while I was freelancing.

epost

http://www.epost.ca/

I helped rebuild the entire site with a new look and feel.  I had built the original site back in 1999-2000, so they asked if I would help with the redesign/rebuild.

King of the River

http://kingoftheriver.com/

This was just a rebuild of the reservation system.  I had to modify and enhance the existing ASP code.

Diplomat Collection

http://www.noduty1.com/

This was a small project to rebuild the database for their products, and to enhance their ordering process.

M&I Bank

http://mibank.com/

This was a complete build while working for Immersant to combine seven of M&I's business lines into one comprehensive web site.  We used ColdFusion for this project and built a complete content management system.  Other than some cosmetic changes, the code that I implemented in 2001 is still being used in the site today.

Don Braithwaite

http://don.braithwaite.name/

Obviously this is my own personal page.  I'm only adding it here because it does show that I do have limited skills with graphic design.  This site is constantly in a state of flux.  It will never be finished.  I use it to experiment with new skills and techniques.

Code Samples

http://don.braithwaite.name/resume/samples/index_cfm.txt
This is the main page of a site for the Centre for Faith and Media. It was a complete build using ColdFusion, with a small hand coded content management system built in. The whole site was database driven, and made up of smaller components. They recently changed the site to ASP.

This header section would go along with the previous index page.

The only work that I did on this site was to repair their ASP code on their reservation system. The person who had built their reservation system gave up halfway through the process and I was asked to finish building it to make it work. I actually had to pretty much start from scratch. The only part of the code on this page that is mine is the ASP at the top. I did not touch the rest of the HTML except where it was related to the ASP functionality. The guy who contracted me did not want me to mess with his HTML (though it was driving me crazy not to be able to clean it up)

This was the previous version of my personal web site when it was built using ColdFusion - http:/don.braithwaite.name. It is always under construction, and never finished. The whole site uses the index page and just calls the content in from a database. This was my experiment in CSS positioning. It is all CSS with no tables for the layout. The site has been rebuilt using PHP.
